Dear Mates:

I will retake the GMAT on Saturday. Below is some info about my preparation.

Knewton course.
I enrolled in Knewton course in December last year and finished all their sessions, homework, and CATs.
Here are my CATs results:
Diagnostic GMAT 11/27/2010, Q35 V28 ---- 520
Practice GMAT #1 12/20/2010 Q42 V35 ---- 620
Practice GMAT #2 01/09/2011 Q43 V26 ----- 570
Practice GMAT #3 01/14/2011 Q37 V40 ----- 620
Practice GMAT #4 01/15/2011 Q44 V40 ------680
Practice GMAT #5 01/30/2011 Q38 V34 ------ 590
As you can see, the results are quite dispersive.

MGMAT CATs. I took three tests untimed and without AWAs and Verbal.
MGMAT 1 --- Q50
MGMAT 2----Q51
MGMAT 3 ----Q51

GMATprep software. I downloaded the software two weeks ago on a new computer. Because I took GMATprep tests around 6-7 months ago, I did not remember any questions/answers. Besides, there were no repetitions in Quants, but there were one familiar RC and a couple of CRs on both the tests (again, I did not remember any answers). Here are results:

GMATprep 1 -- Feb 9, 2011--- without AWA --- Q48 V40 -- 720
GMATprep 2 -- Feb 16, 2011 (today)-----with AWA -----Q49 V38 - 710

Now, with the two days left, I wonder if I need to take any more full-length tests. Maybe it is worth to take a test tomorrow and have a rest on Fri?

Any thoughts on the above, guys?
Will also appreciate any other recommendations/clues on how to proceed better.

Thank you!
Matt.

Awesome score on manhattan Quant. Just one advise - go through the error log. How is your Quant Vs Verbal? I see you scored less on Knewton but again on MGMAT you scored high on Quant.

(1) You see, my MGMAT quant scores are high because I took the test in un-timed mode. On some of the questions I had to spend around 10 minutes. So, they are not qute representative of the real score. I hope the real should be 47-48.

I read a lot of posts about Knewton scoring. Sometimes, their scoring system looks strange even to me. For example, in one of the CATs I made, maybe, seven mistakes in math and five mistakes (not consecutive!) in verbal, and still got a 590.

(2) Verbal is much weaker than quant, but in V I can consistently score 38 (+-2).

I decided to give another full-length tests to build up stamina for the real thing. Tomorrow I will have some rest.

Thanks.

All I want to know rely on instincts and keep cool. The answer you select first in verbal is perhaps the right answer bcos its based on instincts. The more you think, the less likely it will be the gmat answer. Go kill the monster :-D

All the best ! Lets us know the score.

At this point, you should relax and get plenty of rest. Good luck on the test!

Guys, thank you very much for the warm words.

Just done with the GMATprep test 1 (retake) with AWA and got a 760 (Q50, V41).
Of course, it is not representative, because I clearly remembered several questions. But it was OK to prepare mentally and physically for the g-day.

Sorry, I failed to destroy it:((. Please read by other thread titled "Disapponting 670" for more details.
Anyway, thanks buddy, you inspired me a lot by your joke yesterday when I read you post.
