Hello everyone, I'm a recent graduate of Columbia's MSFE program. I am now applying for their 3-year JD/MBA program. From my understnanding most MBA programs seem to be more sensitive towards work experience than most MS progrmas in the US. Due to this reason work experience has never really been an issue for me in terms of admissions. I just wanted to know, given my specific case, what are my chances of acceptance? Is my short amount of work experience good enough in this regard?
Education BBA - Newports Intstitute of Communication & Economics (GPA 3.84) (Pakistan) BS Mathematics - Pace University (3.76) MS Public Accounting - Pace University MS Financial Management - Pace University MS Taxation - Pace University MS Financial Engineering (concentration: Financial Economics) Grad Certificate in Risk Management - NYU Grad Certificate in Bookkeeping - NYU Grad Certificate in Auditing - NYU Grad Certificate in Forensic Accounting - NYU
Good numbers for law school, but I don't see this profile getting into Columbia Business School. You might post over at the TLS (top law schools) forum to get an assessment of your law school chances. From my understanding, it's very numbers driven, so that's a good thing for you!
