Hey guys , pls anyone mind to enlighten us a bit abt Jaipur , India (Sakar Edutech) Test centre? There hasn't been any word regarding it on this forum..come on contributors !! :?: :-D

Sakar Edutech is the worst test center one could opt for. Here is my experience:

1. Irresponsible Supervisor- delayed test
2. Poor infrastructure- rocking chairs
3. Bad Location- noisy corridor

My suggestion : please AVOID. Book Delhi/Bombay

Center Name : Uniflux Line
City & Country : Chisinau, Republic of Moldova
Parking facility : not available
Invigilator Reviews : everything was ok, did not have any problems.
Environment : I was alone in a separate room, which was not bad at all. They gave me earplugs, but... just after I started the V part, someone decided to use a vacuum cleaner, and the noise was insupportable! I could not concentrate at all.
Rating 5/5 : 3/5
Additional Info : difficult to find where exactly they are located.
Debrief Link : n/a
Do's & Don't s : show up at least 20-30 mins earlier. They need some time to get everything prepared.

Ansal University centre is very good. Located in a quiet corner on the top floor. Very helpful invigilator and toilets are very close to the centre.

Hello everyone,

It seems people are reading reviews of test centers here and not leaving a review of their test centers after the GMAT. We are a big community and our preparation for good GMAT score depends on the interaction with each other. If we are not helping others with our experiences and solving each other queries their is no point of just reading and scrolling through the page. Some of the test centers in the past have been closed and some are fairly new. Its very sure that many people sitting for GMAT have gone through this thread before booking their dates and checking out reviews for the test centers. I kindly request everyone that share your test center reviews and spread some word (good or bad) about the it. Remember the test is not cheap and everyone should make the best of their investments. Study hard and never settle !!

Test center for Dwarka in sector 23 is not showing in the list while booking the test date. Is anyone facing same issue? Therefore I am looking for some reviews/feedback on Ansal University, Gurgaon Test Center for GMAT. What do you think about this center? Noise level / Bathrooms / disturbance level / Invigilators / Atmosphere etc. A quick review from you guys would be deeply appreciated. Thank you guys.

Yes, Dwarka test centre has been removed from the list. So, you have only Yusuf Sarai, South Delhi and Ansal University, Gurgaon in NCR region now. One of my friends has recently taken the test at Gurgaon. According to him, the place is quiet and there was no discrepancy when he took the test. I'll rather ask him to write the full review so that everyone here can benefit.

rajsinghal71 - Can you please share your review of Ansal University, Gurgaon ! Many people have been looking for Ansal's review for quite a long time.

Dear all,

Recently, I took the test at Gurgoan center in Anssal university campus.
I visited the center 1 day before my exam and noticed that exam room is in the just next building to main gate.I felt relieved thinking that I won't have to travel inside the university campus to write the exam.

If I compare the test center with the Yusuf sarai center, this one is smaller and not so professional.

This is not to say that center is not good.
Unlike Yusuf sarai campus, it was not mandatory to keep the bag in the almira.I just put it.next to the counter. It saved some time during the break.
There was only one guy in the center and he was very helpful.
When I took the break, he just made a note of the time and was informing me about the remaining time while I was eating apples and bananas just next to him.I wanted to hug this guy for his kind help.
The rest room is just next to the center and unlike Yusuf sarai center, you dont have to wait for other guy to come out from the rest room.the rest room was just like what we had in our college.

Even a water bottle was kept at the counter, so we can just use it.
Since the test center is small, at a time ,only 5 people can write the exam.so less disturbance during the exam.

Finally, campus is located in a calm area so you won't be stuck in heavy traffic unless you are coming from greater distance.

Regards,
Rajan

Hi Guys,
My gmat date is on 15th Sept,Thursday, this week and there is a strike on that day (Cauvery Issue - Karnataka Vs Tamil Nadu).
will call these guys to confirm whether they will operate on that day. Just wanted to know if somebody has taken GMAT on a strike/Bandh day.

The situation does seem quite bad. I'd advise you not to take the exam if there's any sort of shutdown.

I don't see how the center could be open if there's any kind of disturbance. If it's shut they'll offer you the chance to reschedule your test for free.

Thanks Ajitesh - sorry for a late reply - thankfully there was no bandh today. Just came back from the center. I scored, not so impressive, 680 (Q-47, V-36, IR-8). I think this score is not reflective of my capabilities. I couldn't sleep at all last night, also forgot my glasses. I had scored 700, 730 (GMAT prep) and 750 (power prep). Planning for a retake.

Yes please, any review for the test Centre Sakar Edutech Private Ltd. Jaipur, India would be highly appreciated..

I am a resident of Jaipur and given GMAT one time in Sakar Edutech Private Ltd., Jaipur. Exam comfort is a very important factor to achieve a big score but I think it is not what you are going to get there. I think it is one of the pathetic centers one could come across. It is the only Pearson Vue authorized center in Jaipur which force people sometime to take it as they lack options.

Negative aspects of the center: 1) It is a very small building ( rather a single room) in an old office complex in MI Road. The Computer systems are very old and the cabin space is very congested. It is the same situation as in a computer lab of some private teaching centers.
2) There is no locker room facility which is the worst part of it. There is one almirah with no locking facility. The safety of your personal lingers on your mind while taking test.
3) The worst part is that they always lack with amenities like writing pad, pens etc. I remember the instance when a boy who was taking test along with me asked for extra writing pad. But the invigilator said that they do not have it. We all were shocked. He told us in our break that Pearson Vue supply all the materials to the center. He has coordinated with them but they have not supplied materials yet. Things like ear-plugs and head plugs are out of league things in this place; but as per Pearson Vue standards they are compulsory things to be provided by the center to their candidates irrespective of whether they use it or not.
4) Adjacent to the room where we took test, there was a classroom where computer classes use to take place. Noise of the teaching and rumble of student made it worse.
5) Sometimes construction activities also does carry out because it is a old office complex after all.
6) Last but not the least are bathroom facilities which is pathetic. it looked like some public bathroom with no cleanliness and broken window. I am not writing this out of the fact that I want a 5 star kind of center for my test but writing due to the reason that every candidate deserves a minimum level of exam comfort.

Positive aspects of the center: 1) if you are resident of Jaipur and specially live near MI road then it will be a convenient center to give exam.
2) Invigilator was very cooperative and tried his best to provide all the facilities at his disposal.

Suggestion: It is far better to opt for some good center in Delhi if you can travel a bit. For example- Pearson professional Center Noida sector 16 A , Ansal University Gurgaon will be my recommendations.

any reviews for Pearson Noida Centre newly opened a month back ???

Took the GMAT exam today at the Pearson Vue Center - Noida. Would rate it 5/5. Its located in a commercial office building and has ample parking space. The washrooms are located on the same floor as the test center and within walking distance. The center is new as it began operations only a few months back. The center had pin-drop silence and the staff was very professional and helpful. The chairs were really comfortable and they provide you with noise cancellation headphones and 3M earplugs. Faced issues with my marker during the verbal section and the staff was prompt in replacing them. The whole experience was great. Can't think of any flaw.

Yeah I had the same wonderful experience at Pearson Vue Professional Center- Noida. It is perfect to have your GMAT. Pearson Vue needs to open more centers like this rather than opting for authorized centers which do not match their standards.

I took the exam in Prague (GOPAS). I am very satisfied with my experience there (I did not expect much though).

There are only 4 places available, so it is not so crowded (and with me maximum people were three, although most of them time just two of us). We got noise cancelling headphones and earplugs. I have never used earplugs but noise cancelling heaphones were great. I also received tissues (and of course pad and two pens).
The staff was in other room watching through cameras. Whenever I raised my hand they showed immediately. They were patient in explaining me exactly what I can or cannot do. Because I am not from Czech Republic and I arrived to Prague just for the exam, I had a backpack with me. They were understanding to that and offer me two lockers - one for my backpack and one for the snacks which I took with me for the exam. In the centre there was free coffee, chocolate, water, coke which was a nice touch (especially espresso saved me). You cannot leave the centre at any time. It took me around 6 minutes to use the toilet and get espresso and water, eat my snack and come back to the room.

When I arrived they firstly asked if I want a coffee and if I need anything which was also nice, I could feel there is no rush even if I was only 10 minutes before the time. The attitude of the staff was to make that experience as good as possible so I can pass the exam perfectly.

Hi,

Did anyone take exam at Myra School of Business, Mysore, India? I am not seeing a single slot in Pearson Center, Bangalore until Sept. 26th. That is too far. So I am planning to book GMAT slot at Myra, Mysore. Please review if any one has taken exam there. Please let us how is the noise level at the test center, how is the atmosphere at the test center, how far it is from the city, can you get a taxi there conveniently to get back to the city?

I was looking for the test slot in Bangalore Pearson Center, but unfortunately could not find one. So, I took the test last week in Hyderabad Pearson Center. I reached Hyderabad a day before to sleep well :P I reached the exam center by 12.30 pm as my exam slot was 1 pm. The lady outside the test center asked me to fill in my name, time and name of the exam for which I was there. Once I entered the center, the lady sitting in the reception asked me which exam I am there for and asked for my passport. I gave my passport and sat. There were about 10 people there sitting with my waiting for their turns. There was one more lady who was checking the candidates. She was asking to show all the pockets and fold the shirt's sleeve to check for tattoos if any. Also she was checking the glasses. For one guy she checked everything and then she asked him to show the pendant of his neck chain too. That guy got so irritated that he tried removing his tshirt. Then that lady said no need, checking is done. That was funny. Everyone sitting there started laughing. Thankfully I was wearing Indian salwar kameez (a dress without pocket, phew!). After all the checking done, they took me into testing room. It was huge. It was way bigger than Bangalore center. Test started and then I took my first break. In this center you are not supposed to get up from your place until an invigilator will come inside that room to escort you out. This was not the case in Bangalore. Of course someone will be looking through the glass but escorting was new to me. Once I clicked yes to break I got up and started towards the door. The invigilator came inside the room and said "Go to your place". I just went and sat in the chair thinking he might want to type in some password. But once I sat he said "Let's go". In this I lost my precious 1 min of break. Unlike Bangalore center, here there are separate washrooms for guys and girls (that's good). But the problem was that they started tests for many candidates at once and everyone came for break at the same time. This was a problem as everyone would use washroom in the break. After struggling for washroom turn :) and gobbling up something. I went back to the door of the testing room. That guy asked me to put my right palm onto the scanner and asked me to remove my glasses to check and asked me if I am using glass for eye sight power (I am not sure why did he ask this question as no one would wear glass just like that). In this again 1 min gone. For guys ( and also girls wearing jeans) it was even worse. After every break they had to undergo the same stringent checking of their pockets like before starting the test. I was feeling pity for them as they were losing so much time in these checkings in both the breaks. Also, worth mentioning is the noise level of the exam center. This is pathetic. The center is on the main road with traffic. You would hear vehicle horn of almost all the vehicles out there sitting inside the test center :( . I had to wear noise cancelling headphones almost all the time. All in all, the center is conveniently located even if you are new to the city (like me), spacious and clean, supply of markers and writing pad is fine. But time lost due to excessive checking during breaks, everyone coming for break at once and noise are the negative aspects of this center.
One suggestion to all those going to take GMAT in Hyderabad Pearson Center is don't wear something with lot of pockets. It will eat up your break time.

Will definitely do!

I know this is off topic, but wow, a 51 on verbal? How?

I've been really paranoid about verbal of late. I got a 39 first time going in without any study on the official test, and then a 45,37,32,36 on four subsequent MGMAT practice tests, and 40,40 on two official gmat practice tests. I've never actually studied for verbal and i've always chosen answers based on 'gut' feeling and how the answers sound/if they make sense. (i read and write a whole lot)

Do you think its advisable to pickup a course/book on verbal and drill myself on the rules? or just sort of spam practice questions (since I have only about 18 days left)?

Sorry for derailing the thread!
Thank you :)

A course at this stage probably won't help, but going through an SC book might. You are doing very well in verbal, and some additional familiarity with SC could help you improve your speed and/or accuracy (especially if there are some minor weaknesses in your approach). Just don't make too many changes (you're on track for more than 90% in verbal).

Test Center : Unisoft Technologies.
Location: Kundanahalli, Bangalore.

First of all, you wont find this location on map. and Thank God, I went there the previous week just to see where exactly it is located and how good it is. I had to call the people from test center for direction as the center name is not Unisoft Technologies at all.
I had scheduled my test for 19th Aug,2017 (Saturday). I was really nervous about taking the test as it was my first time. So I reach there and find out that the application is not working. After inquiring, they say it's the server problem. We were 5 of us, and 1 of us had already begun the test, attempted her first 5 questions from verbal and came out because the application got hung. We all waited for about one and a half hour, and still not a thing about server going right. This is a disaster. All they kept saying was it is server/cloud problem. And our batch was not the only one to experience this, this has been happening since 3-4 days, the center staff says.
Horrible experience. I got my test rescheduled to 31st Aug. Crossing my fingers that nothing of such sort happens on the day of test and everything goes smooth.

Hey guys,

I think creating a Google Doc Form would be much easier than filling it out like this. It also automatically creates a spreadsheet with answers that can be viewed by anyone with proper access. I feel that this would be a much more efficient way of doing this. Gurpreet, consider this suggestion. The link is attached below:

Form

The spreadsheet can be found here. Spreadsheet

Maybe you can add a link to the first post. Or something where people can fill this out whenever they write a debrief :)
