Hi guys,
I'm getting closer to the day of the exam and I'm starting to get nervous!
I took GMAT for the first time in July (610 Q48, V25) and didn't do well much to my surprise (well below the average of my practice tests at Kaplan)
To prepare this time, I
reviewed all the Kaplan material I had from the class I had attended
got the 3 MGMAT Verbal books and studied and reviewed them
have taken 2 of the 6 mgmat tests : MGMAT 1:640 MGMAT 2: 680
took the first test from the CD they send you when you book you exam: 650
reviewed all the questions in the official guide and am planning to redo them.
Any suggestions on how I can more improve my skills in the next 26 days?

Hello Parisa1362,

Have you used the GMATPrep exam? You get two practice tests provided by the GMAC, and as such, are as close as you can get to the real thing.

Also, are you maintaining an error log? This will help you determine where your shortcomings. The key to breaking milestones on the GMAT is determining where shortcomings are and coming up with a game plan to overcome them.

Best of luck,

Hi!
Yes I do have those exam and like I said I've done 650 on the first one, I reviewed my answers and am planning to retake it in like 10 days.
As for error log, I have made notes for SC - almost for every time I have got a question wrong - on my phone. But for other topics such as CR and RC it's really hard to keep notes.
Any suggestions on how I can handle stress? and if you think there's anything that I'm doing wrong, plz let me know,
Thanks!

The best thing you can do for stress is remain calm, make sure you are rested and not hungry/thirsty, monitor time to keep pace (do NOT monitor time and cause yourself too much stress).

From what you have listed, I don't see anything "wrong". It is possible to maintain an error log for any topic. The goal behind the error log is to identify what directed you to the incorrect answer, and what to look for to direct you to the correct answer.

I will try to remain calm
I just have one quick question, when do you think I should stop taking full length exams before the actual day. The test day is Jan 30th.
I remember the last time I was taking my exam, I was doing surprisingly well 2 weeks before the exam, didn't even have one score below 700 but then in the last 2 weeks I was consistently doing bad. I was shocked to see my 610 score on the monitor. I don't want to have that happen to me again. Any suggestion on that?

Everyone is different here. I didn't take any practice tests the last three days before my real test. Some people took a practice test within a day or two of the real thing (and still scored very well).

Do what you feel is best for you. If you have a fear of burning out, don't take any tests the week before the real thing.

Ok officially 20 days to go!
I just did the MGMAT 3 and got 680 Q47 V35 again!
Is it just me or are some of the math questions are very difficult?
I've never had problem with Math, have had several full scores on Kaplan Math Cats so it's kind of surprising. I need to get to V40! What else should I do?
