Hi all!

Since now I'm starting to think about the GMAT, in parallel consulting is also something which I would say goes in-line with it.

Does anyone have experience / knowledge on how do top-tier consulting firms (McK, Bain, BCG, ATK) treat repeating applicants? I mean, you can go to the GMAT test as much times as you like but how to the MC companies treat those kind-of candidates? e.g. you don't pass in one MC office but you would like to try in another, do you have a chance or are you immediately "black-listed"?

Thanks and cheers!

During recruiting at McK, they told us if we don't get in, we can only apply again in two years time. It seems they also have a centralized application database, since you have to apply through their website. Therefore, it seems unlikely that you could apply to a different office to bypass the 2 year rule.

I also had a manager that told me he applied (and got in) 3 separate times over a number of years. The first two times he declined for some or other reason.

great post, however not sure if it just me but the image for the layout of the case is not displaying if you can upload again would be great help to revisit the case you posted.

That's just an example of what a case could be like. If you're interested in taking a look at cases I recommend checkout out either McKinsey's, Bain's or BCG's websites. You'll find sample cases on there that I'd say are fairly representative of a real case (aside from the fact that it's interactive with a computer, rather than another human being).
