If the word limit is tight, stick to the strict SAR approach, meaning that you won't really talk about learnings after the event. But you can still bring these ideas out in your essay in the "Action" section, but not only explaining what you did, but also why you did those things. For example, rather than just saying, "... so I set up a series of weekly meetings to address the issue," you could say, "I realized that the engineers on the project felt that they were being left out of important decisions, so I set up a series of weekly meetings..."
The key point is to not just explain the "what," bu talso the "why." Yes, 200 words is tight, but this is the type of thing that adcomms will be looking for.
