(A) (100-p)/2

(B) 50p

(C) (100+p)/(5p)

(D) 600p/(100-p)

(E) 12000/(300-p)

Let's assume an easy number for p = 50.

The question becomes Sathvika travels half the distance at 60 miles/hr and the other half at 40 miles/hr.
Average speed can be calculated by using formula = 2*a*b/(a + b) = 2*40*60/100 = 48

Now, we need to check which of the answer options match this average speed

(A) (100-p)/2 = 50/2 = 25
(B) 50p (Too large)
(C) (100+p)/(5p) = 150/250 (Too small)
(D) 600p/(100-p) = 600*50/50 (Too large)

(E) 12000/(300-p) = 12000/250 = 48 (Exact match)

Therefore, \(\frac{12000}{300-p}\) - (Option E) is the average speed of Sathvika's trip in terms of p
