KUDOS
anyone & anybody = singular
they = plural

So, A, B, E are out, since you need a plural for "they".
C - would & if, cannot come together.

Left with D. However, I'm not convinced while reading the entire sentence. "If any people"?? "If any person", sounds better.

Option B seems ok....But Option A is more likely because it is parallel"would have anticipated...would have advised".

(A) If anyone at InterCom Financial Advisers would have anticipated
(C) If any people at InterCom Financial Advisers would have anticipated
(E) If anybody at InterCom Financial Advisers anticipated

(A) "would" with "if" is not correct.
(B) "Had anticipated" is conditional in the past. Correct..
(C) Same as A - "would" with "if" is not correct.
(D) "any people"? - Wrong structure.
(E) Simply past "anticipated" is not enough. Need Past perfect form "Had anticipated" with "would have advised".

Totally agree with you Mr. Tiger, but in the o.answer there is D.
This "Any people" really confusing me. Please can any one see why D is right?

(A) If anyone at InterCom Financial Advisers would have anticipated

(E) If anybody at InterCom Financial Advisers anticipated

IMO D.

EXP
"They" would have advised requires the subject to be plural. So A, B and E are out.
had anticipated , would have advised - is the right construction indicating the sequence so D.

As far as I'm concerned ANY is followed by either a singular noun or uncountable noun!
so any people is wrong.

I picked B.
correct me if I am wrong

I am stuck between B and D. I would go for D because a conditional clause is supposed to begin with If. Secondly, anyone is a singular noun. But i think any people is plural. Not sure but my gut says to go for D
