think that B) correctly relates the pumps with the warmth from the milk

it is a classic dangling modifier problem.

now let's see who is installing, it is obviously the farmer.

A suggest a farmar's house is installing..... so it is out
B suggests warmth of cow's milk is installing..... so it is out
C. suggests one agriculture engineer reports but he is not installing it.... hence it is out.
D bingo....is the correct use of modifier.
E. has same problem as C

so there we go... D is the right choice.

I understood the passage in another way. It is not relevant who installed them, but what the purpose will be when installing. I choose B.
