Re: SC : PowerPrep [#permalink]
Good job guys... OA is E.

I picked C... didn't pick the SV agreement during the test.

I was thrown off by the 50K-100K genes ... are contained, whereas the subject is "information" not "genes" which makes the difference between "is" and "are".

Thanks all.

(E)

Also "mere" (adjective) will fit here than merely, which is an adverb.

I am confussed....coz according to me....'is' refers to genes found in the human celll.......and to me it should be plural......so I am consfussed with the OA

Re: SC : PowerPrep [#permalink]
Clear winner E.

"the" is required to point to the specifice thing. In this case the 5000 to 10000 genes.

Also merely 3% is incorrect. When given a specific number "ly" form should not be used.

Re: SC : PowerPrep [#permalink]
It's E.

- Proper use of definite article "the"
- "all of the information" is singular so "is" is required.
