The correct idiom is seek support "from"

so B, C and E are out

in A "one" of the "first" is redundant, so answer should be D

Correct.

But why "one" is redundant in A (e.g. one of the most expensive - is OK)

and what does it mean "among the first of ... museums"??

I think A is correct.

For me, I think one of the first is not redundancy coz it is , for example, one of the museums in early epoch.

voter for D -- the most parallel

X was the first to seek ... from and to increase bla-bla-bla by bla-bla-bla.

But why B is not right? Is it really because THERE IS AN idiom "TO SEEK SUPPORT FROM"??

B is incorrect on one level because it is not proper English to say "seeking support of." You would need to say either "seeking the support of" or "seeking support from." But as I think Stolyar pointed out, there is a matter of parallelism here as well. B makes it sound like the museum in question was among the first to exist in Britain, but in reality, it's just one of the first to seek support.

But is it right to say and what does it mean: "... among the first of ... museums"??

To seek and to increase - parallel
support from - (idiom , i guess )
