School Suggestion?

Hi all,
I apologize if this post is long winded; however I wanted to introduce myself and get the opinion of the wonderful members here at gmatclub. I've lurked the forum for some time (as an undergrad), recently joining and beginning my journey. Here are my stats:
Age: 22
Sex: Male (white)
Bachelors: Economics degree with a minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Maryland, College Park (not Smith)
GPA: 3.2
Occupation: Working ~6 months in New York City at a large financial services group in their Property & Casualty insurance division as an underwriter. Started right after graduation in June.
Gmat: Yet to take my first official gmat; however I will be scheduling for June. Currently I have begun using the Kaplan GMAT Premier 2012, working chapter by chapter. Closer to my test date, I will continually do practice gmats. I study approx 1 hour per day.
Targets: To keep this brief -- I would like to stay somewhere close to the NYC where I live and work if possible. Obviously I want to go to the best school I can possibly get into; however I understand it would be in my best interest to go to a school that can provide the best advantage for my interest post graduation. I would like to move into banking, specifically a form of investment banking. Obviously I know my sights are set high. I would like to get my mba in finance or quant finance, math is a strong point of mine. (right now I have my eyes on Fordham as I believe it is feasible, but I do not know the quality of their program as I could not find too much info on here)
My questions to you wonderful people:
-What schools would you recommend off the top of your head?
-What is the score range for the gmat do you believe I have to reach to be admitted into these school?
-Am I too young and professionally inexperienced to make a serious push in being admitted to a good school?
-What have some of you done in terms of extra curriculars/leadership to set yourself apart? I have approached my boss about leadership opportunities, but I know this is something I am going to have to rely heavily on being my GPA is not the greatest..
Thanks in advance for your opinions which I honestly do value. I'll be around quite a bit here so hopefully I'll get to know some of you and achieve my goals!
