Many people have recommended Doing Grammar as a good preparation guide for GMAT SC. But as I go through the book I am getting to understand some grammar but I am very unsure how all this will relate to sentence "correction" as such. Can you please throw some light in this regard.

Also, the book introduces Sentence Diagramming. Will that method be of any help in SC questions?

If you have time try to get a hand on "Grammar by Diagram" textbook(not to be confused with workbook of the same name). Much more digestable than Doing Grammar.

PS: I have doing Grammar but don't have "Grammar by Diagram". However saw the book in Google Book Preview and it looked more digestable.
