Yes, 0^x is undefined when x is negative, not that a real GMAT question would ever allow for that possibility.

Wonderful stuff Slingfox. I had a question about your Quant review...I remember doing this problem before but cannot seem to figure it out now. Can you please explain this, preferably with a more complicated example? Thanks..
 Ratio problem/locate a point on a line segment:
o Coordinate A is at (0,0) and coordinate B is at (4,4). Find the point that is 3 times away from B as A on line segment AB.
 Approach: You need to find dx which is the incremental change in X, and dy which is the incremental change in Y.
 Total change in x = 4 = 4dx
o =1
 Total change in y = 4 =4dy
o dy = 1
 Answer: (0 + 1*dx, 0 + 1*dy) = (1,1)

the statement
Example: S/T = 64.12. Which of the following could be a remainder when S is divided by T? 2, 4, 8, 12, 20, 45.
Answer. 12/100 = 3/25. This means that when S is divided by T, the remainder must be a multiple of 3. Therefore, 45 is the answer.

i believe the answer should be 12.if you divide 12 by 100,it clearly leaves 12...

please help,any comments are welcome

Hi,

Could someone expand on this a little?

Superficial Parallelism vs. Actual Parallelism
Sometimes you need to subordinate certain elements (e.g., it is not safe to assume that all verbs and verb forms need to be parallel).
You need to be especially careful with verbs and verb forms.
Example 1
Wrong: “Sal applied himself in this new job, arrived early every day, skipped lunches regularly, AND left late every night.”
Right: “Sal applied himself in this new job, arriving early every day, skipping lunches regularly, AND leaving late every night.”
Example 2
Wrong: “Wild pandas roam the forests and eat bamboo all day long.”
Right: “Wild pandas roam the forests eating bamboo all day long.”
