guys (and gals),

what should i do now with my spare time?

1) Prepare for interview? - am i jumping ahead, because i still have not heard back from schools yet.
2) apply to one or two more schools? I have applied to Chicago, Duke, London and Cornell for MBA, and CMU and Haas for MFE/Msc Finance.
Have not heard anything from CMU yet, heard they send an email out on friday for interviews....

well i am taking three classes beginning this week, so i should have my hands full.. i am just worried that i am might dinged from all schools..

I'm hopping for LBS too.
It's a long shot though.
Applied also to UCLA and Applying to NYU, Columbia and maybe Darden (last round)...

You should apply to a back up school. Having an admit in hand makes you feel very much better.

any idea on which schools I should consider?

My profile - gmat 670(Q49,V33,AWA5.5), 660(Q50,V29,AWA5.5)
undergrad gpa - 3.95 (as translated by US university). I went to Australia for undergrad, although I am born in India.
grad gpa - 3.9
Good recs, lot of awards,scholarships, decent community service (nothing stellar)
good leadership experience, including one year onsite experience with a key client..
Immediate goal - to work in avionics/aerospace and long term goal to found my own avionics company,

Applied to Cornell(R3), Duke(R2), Chicago(R2), LBS(R2).
I am really hoping for LBS!

It's really up to you...how you see the school fit with you...
Anyway, to my opinion, Notre Dame would be a good choice. Essays are easy, the application process is quick, so you will know result just 1 month from applying.
I have visited and think that Washington, Indiana and Purdue are also very good schools. I applied to those. Also, Indiana Trio have very similar essays, so you can reuse those essays.
My strategy was different from yours. I applied to some average schools first then continued applying to some top schools, because I really could not figure out if I am strong enough for top schools. But with some admits, now I feel more confident. (of course, from confidence to reality is pretty far).

To analyze options on back ups, check the Near Elite / Near Elite Frontier sections in the forum and try to match a few schools from these clusters with your career plans in case you end up going (let's hope not as you would like to attend LBS).
