whoops I didnt see the use of "or".. change my answer to C

(c) Some buildings that the earthquake destroyed and heavily damaged last year have been - should be using the plural form

How can a building be both destroyed and heavily damaged ? it has to be "OR" .

an i guess you need "had been " here because " have been" is used when something which started in past still continues.

so i would pick "B"

This is a good one. First all choices with AND are logically flawed. Either a building can be destroyed or it can be damaged but NOT both. This leaves us with B, D and E.

This is a past perfect tense. Hence "had been" should be used.
