Hi,
I'm an engineering student in my last semester.
[For those who are Indian's here, I recently gave CAT'17 and Got 96 percentile, sectional percentile being 99-97-80 in Verbal Ability & RC - Data Interpretation - Quant respectively. I neglected quant quite a bit during my last few months of prep and it cost me big time.]
Anyway, I plan to take it again next year, but in the meantime, I want to start prep for GMAT and give it by May(at most). So I guess I have somewhat 3 months to prepare and give the exam.
I have zero specific prep for GMAT, but I feel I will do well in the basics at least since I prepared for CAT, so 3 months should be more than enough I feel.
There are 3 main questions I wanted to ash :
1. Should I enrol in a classroom program or just get the material and start the prep on my own? I'm determined enough to study on my own but I also aim to score 750+ in GMAT, so that even in the worst case scenario I score at least 700+
2. What all material should I refer to? I did get 99 percentile in VARC of CAT, but I feel that was too easy. I literally didn't even spend a day trying to learn English, just used to read for some time every day; editorials and some books. I would really like to know some good books to study from. I only know that buying and going through the
OG of GMAT is a must, clueless after that...
3. Last but not the least, ik how crucial mocks and practice tests for sections are important in order to excel, which are mocks should I give ? Is there any specific Test Series that I can join ?
PS I live in New Delhi, India.
Thank you.
