Hey All,
Need some advice from this group of GMAT/MBA wunderkinds.
I've been studying (at least trying to study) for the past couple of months, but have been unsuccessful in doing so on a daily basis and keeping to a schedule. I'm using OG11 and everything MGAMT has to offer. I do feel as though I've progressed, but not at the level I'd like. Work has been very busy... I'm traveling every other week, we're going through a re-org, and much, much more. It's been difficult for me to focus because of this. I'm to the point of exhausting in trying to balance my studies with work.
I took a practice test a week ago and got a 440 (even split between Quant and Verbal). I ran out of time on 6 of the last quant and 4 of the last verbal verbal questions and feel like I would have been in the 520 range if I had used my time properly. I've got wonderfully written essays, very attractive work experience and tremendous recommendations, but am afraid that a weak GMT score will hold me back. I am applying to Kenan-Flagler and Kelley for Round 2.
I'm schedule to take the test, for the first time, December 21 and am wondering if I should even give it a shot considering that I will most likely not land in the 620-680 range like I had hoped.
Should I put this off until next year, when things have settled at work? What do you think?
Thanks!
Would putting your apps off for another year derail your career in anyway? I mean, is there a rush for you to go back to school? If not, why not give yourself a break and wait to apply next year when you have the time to spend on your GMAT studies? I have a feeling that you might like your results better if you do, based on your post...
