Studies have shown that people are more likely to fall ill when they are stressed. Since companies lose out on precious business days when their employees are not well, it is advisable that they implement regular leisure trips to keep them in good health by organizing several group-bonding fun activities that colleagues can engage in. This way, the companies can save on the money lost as a result of the business they lose when their employees take sick-leaves.

Which of the following must be considered in order to determine whether the proposed plan will be a success in achieving its purpose?

A. Whether companies can organize seminars by motivational speakers who can increase the efficiency of employees

B. Whether employees would find out of office get-togethers with colleagues de-stressing

C. Whether the management of such companies would approve the plan to hold leisure trips

D. Whether there is any chance that despite these trips there will be a few employees who will fall ill.

E. Whether there are any good locations in the area the employees are based in that can be used for such

Clearly B is the better option. Aim is that the companies can save on the money lost as a result of the business they lose when their employees take sick-leaves. Look for an option that affect this conclusion in both ways.

A. Whether companies can organize seminars by motivational speakers who can increase the efficiency of employees --- may be but what about de-stressing ?

B. Whether employees would find out of office get-togethers with colleagues de-stressing --- If yes then this option is really helpful in strengthing the conclusion. on the other hand if no then this choice is really bad, absolutly no use. Clear choice, lets keep it.

C. Whether the management of such companies would approve the plan to hold leisure trips --- if yes will this be increasing stress or not?

D. Whether there is any chance that despite these trips there will be a few employees who will fall ill. --- if yes , then few will not fell ill so this choice is good this way.

E. Whether there are any good locations in the area the employees are based in that can be used for such --- irrelevant

Which of the following must be considered in order to determine whether the proposed plan will be a success in achieving its purpose?

A. Whether companies can organize seminars by motivational speakers who can increase the efficiency of employees

The argument is NOT about the efficiency of the employees. It is about how companies can reduce the number of sick leaves by employees. INCORRECT

B. Whether employees would find out of office get-togethers with colleagues de-stressing

If we can determine whether the employees feel these leisure trips as de-stressing, we can surely say that the leisure trips will reduce the chance of employees falling ill because of stress

C. Whether the management of such companies would approve the plan to hold leisure trips

The argument is that the employees will take less number of sick leaves if companies can organize leisure trip. Whether companies can organize leisure trips doesn't help in determining the number of sick leaves the employees will take INCORRECT

D. Whether there is any chance that despite these trips there will be a few employees who will fall ill.

The employees can fall ill for number of reason but the argument is about reducing the number of employees who becomes ill because of stress. INCORRECT

E. Whether there are any good locations in the area the employees are based in that can be used for such

This doesn't help in determining the number of sick leaves the employees will take. INCORRECT

Hence option B

Studies have shown that people are more likely to fall ill when they are stressed. Since companies lose out on precious business days when their employees are not well, it is advisable that they implement regular leisure trips to keep them in good health by organizing several group-bonding fun activities that colleagues can engage in. This way, the companies can save on the money lost as a result of the business they lose when their employees take sick-leaves.

Boil it down - Since companies lose out on precious business days when their employees are not well, it is advisable that they implement regular leisure trips to keep them in good health by organizing several group-bonding fun activities that colleagues can engage in.
Pre-thinking - engaging in group-bonding fun activities will reduce stress is an assumption here

Which of the following must be considered in order to determine whether the proposed plan will be a success in achieving its purpose?

A. Whether companies can organize seminars by motivational speakers who can increase the efficiency of employees -- Irrelevant - seminars by motivational speakers is not relevant

B. Whether employees would find out of office get-togethers with colleagues de-stressing - Correct - Apply variance test -- If Answer to B is yes, then such get-togethers will decrease stress and thus decrease the number of sick-leaves . If the answer to B is No, then such get-together won't help us achieve our goal here.

C. Whether the management of such companies would approve the plan to hold leisure trips - Irrelevant

D. Whether there is any chance that despite these trips there will be a few employees who will fall ill.- Incorrect -- a few employees might be miniscule

E. Whether there are any good locations in the area the employees are based in that can be used for such -- Irrelevant

Answer B
