when I study through the manhattan gmat books I have a hard time translating the material to the practice quetions & on the practice tests. does anyone have a technique that solves that problem?

The same thing happens to me. They make the concepts seem a bit too simple when juxtaposed with the actual problems. The "odds and evens" stuff seems so easy, until you take a practice test, realize a question is an "odd/even question" and have ZERO idea how to do it. In for responses as well.
