SVA in case of "OR"

Subject in the form of "X or Y"

1) If both of them are singular nouns then verb would be singular

2) But what if one of them is plural and one is singular?



In such a case will the verb agree to the closest noun that is the second one?

the subject which is closer to the verb will define whether the verb is of plural form or singular form ....
