hi all,

I need a bit of help. I have been workin on the math for some time and feel i should test myself and get an idea what level I'm at. I havent really started verbal and don't want to test on that yet. so how do i go about this? do i take only the math section of a CAT test( either GMATPrep, MGMAT, KAPLAN etc ) ?

the problem i think i might have with this is that if i do that, i would prolly see the same math questions later on when i am actually testing myself on math and verbal together. (i.e when i am simulating the real GMAT )

thanks

You should take the math portion of the test. It works very well.

You'll take a few quant tests, then you will finish verbal and take the remaining verbal sections. Then move on to other tests.

Individual tests (MGMAT, Kaplan, GMATPrep) do not repeat questions from test to test, so unless you ratake the same test, you are OK - most people do fine by just taking 5-10 total tests during their prep:
- 2+ for Math/Quant
- 3-5 for Practice after done with math and quant
