Why B is wrong?

I think B is more clear

I also thought B was clear. Can someone please explain why B is incorrect?

A. charged with spreading non scientific ideas and with administrative transgression.
B. charged with spreading non scientific ideas and administrative transgression.

The correct answer is A.

For B, saying "charged with spreading non scientific ideas and administrative transgression" implies that administrative transgression is being spread around.

Whereas with A, we can clearly see that "spreading non scientific ideas" and "administrative transgression" are two distinct violations he is being charged with.

POE
A. Correct option - Intended meaning is conveyed by maintaining parallelism.
B. Incorrect - The intended meaning changes. Transgression means failure, one cannot be charged with spreading failure(non-sensical)
C.being charged- redundant usage. Same meaning error as in choice B.
D.Meaning error. Incorrect placement of word spreading.
E.Meaning error as in option B. as charged (because he was charged). The intended meaning is he was charged with X and with Y.

Tricky question as the trap seems very compelling.

However, the principal was not charged with spreading "administrative transgression" as option B indicates.
As correctly described in statement A he was charged with "spreading non academic ideas" and moreover he was charged with "administrative transgression" too.

Hope this sheds some light on this one.

Best regards,
Chris
