Hi,

NUmber vs Amount-
since personal vehicle can be counted, Number is appropriate.

Not only X but also Y..
there should be parallelism in X and Y..
In this case Causes and Affects

Only C follows the two rules correctly

Ans C

Ok, ‘Number’ is the right diction and ‘not only… but also’ is appropriately used in C only. However, the worry is the incorrect use of ‘being’ as a modifier in all the five choices, giving a feeling that it could be ignored. It is certainly a bad usage and redundant. One can do very well dropping the word ‘being’.After all, this is from a reputed company.
