same problem with B

"it" is a problem in E

D does nt make sense

One more for C.

a. what they now commonly call - pronoun problem - 'they'. WRONG

b. a plant that they now commonly call - pronoun problem - 'they'. WRONG

c. now commonly called - CORRECT

d. an is now commonly called - changes the meaning. Implies the 'ancient Anasazi' are now called...WRONG

e. which it is now commonly called. - 'it' is extra. WRONG
