1. Sufficient
If there are 3 boys and 2 girls, Aveg age of boys = (3.7*5 -3.3*2)/3 can be determined
or If there are 6 boys and 4 girls, Aveg age of boys = (3.7*10 -3.3*4)/6 can be determined
2. Not Sufficient - No information about the boys

Hence Answer would be A.

By the Rule of Alligations

\(\frac{b}{g}\) = \(\frac{(A - A_g)}{(A_b- A)}\)

\(\frac{b}{g}\) = \(\frac{(3.7- 3.3)}{A_b - 3.7)}\) ..... Eqn 1

St 1 : b/g = 3/2, Substituting in Eqn 1

We are left with one unknown ( \(A_b\) ) and one Equation

Sufficient

St 2 : g = 10, Substituting this in Eqn 1 we are left with two unknowns and one Equation

Not Sufficient

Choice A
