Humphry Davy (subject)
presented (verb)
the results (direct object) of his early experiments in his “Essay on Heat and Light,”

a vision of a new chemistry that Davy hoped to found.

One side track question. I picked A for this but I still have one doubt about the used of "AS WELL AS". It took me awhile to decide between "AND" & "AS WELL AS". I knew GMAT prefer AND but i didn't see it on the right answer (in this context)..

So when should we choose "As well As"? If answer choice F give "AND" provided as another option, should we go to Choice F?

(F) a critique of all chemistry since Robert Boyle AND a vision of a

thanks...just want to clarify..
