Not sure where I'm going wrong. Here is what I have so far:

[5x-10]/[3x+10] = 7/5
x = 5

That doesn't fit so I need some help here!

the equation formed is correct
[5x-10]/[3x+10] = 7/5
25x - 50 = 21x + 70 ==> 4x = 120 => x = 30

so Kaye had 140 -100 = 40 more stamps - answer C

Same explanation --
5x-10/3x=10 = 7/5
Solving x=30
Kaye - Alb = 5x-10 - (3x+10) = 2x-20 = 40
