B. Some households in Merton county have an annual income between \$40,000 and
\$60,000.

I chose B too.

This question was beaten to death in http://www.gmatclub.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=9003

Very shocking. THe OA in the previous thread is E.
I myself don't like this question. All choice are awful. I came down to C & B. C is like a restate of the statement. B is right yes but it sound nonsense.

A. No household in Merton county has an annual income of \$60,000 or more.
>>Wrong

B. Some households in Merton county have an annual income between \$40,000 and \$60,000.
>>Poor but that is the only "conclusion" we can pick here.

C. The number of households with an annual income of more than \$40,000 is greater in Merton than in Sommer county.
>> copy/paste from the statement

D. Average annual household income is higher in Sommer than in Merton county.
>>Wrong

E. The percentage of households with an annual income of \$80,000 is higher in Sommer than in Merton county
>>Wrong

IMO B is better than C

I hope this is not an official one...
