The pharmaceutical company conceded that its blockbuster drug may have contributed to the recent outbreak of skin rashes experienced by its consumers and having pulled the drug off the market, led to a sharp drop in the company’s share price.
Structure is - Conceded X n Pulled Y, Modifier
A) having pulled the drug off the market, led to - Run on coz modifier is not defining the meaning properly. INCORRECT
B) pulled the drug off the market, leading to - CORRECT
C) pulling the drug off the market, leading to - The company pulled the drug off the market in one go but PULLING changes the intended meaning. INCORRECT
D)pulled the drug off the market, led to -Run on coz modifier is not defining the meaning properly. INCORRECT
E) pulled the drug off the market, having led to - Action ended at one point in the past n is not continuing. INCORRECT

This question is about parallelism + modifier.
IMO, B is correct.

Split #1: Parallelism:
Because of "and" before the underlined part ==> It is parallel marker. So the parallel structure should be: The pharmaceutical company conceded that.....and pulled......
So A, C are out.

Split #2: modifier:
There is a comma after the underlined part ==> It is modifier marker.
Among B, D, E, only B uses a correct modifier "leading to" which modifies the previous clause.

Hence, B is correct.

IMO answer is B

The question tests parallelism for And connector and modifier.

The pharmaceutical company conceded ... and pulled

A and C are out since they use pulling - not parallel to conceded.

For the modifier verb-ing is required to describe the results of the drug pulled from the market.

D - led to - describe the intent and not results
Between B and E having led to is more wordy than leading to --> hence answer is B

Anybody has a better explanation for eliminating E other than wordy or awkward

E with "having led" gives us a wrong idea of the "timing", changes the meaning
E) pulled the drug off the market, having led to

If I say B) pulled the drug off the market, leading to <==the -ing presents the results
but "having led to" seems to say that this fact already happened, the overall sequence of the events is not clear.

Must be (B)

The pharmaceutical company conceded that its blockbuster drug may have
    1. contributed to the recent outbreak of skin rashes experienced by its consumers and
    2. pulled the drug off the market,
leading to a sharp drop in the company’s share price.

2 actions highlighted in blue are taking place...

Further , + verbing (Modifies the previous clause)

Hence, Answer must be (B)
