The pie chart shows a company's expenses. What is the measure of the angle indicated for Rent and Utilities, assuming the chart is drawn proportional to percent of total company expenses?

(1) The area of the section corresponding to Rent and Utilities is 6π.

(2) The area of the section corresponding to Debt Service is 15π.

From F.S 1, we know only the area occupied by the Rent and Utilities, but we don't know the total area. Thus, Insufficient.

From F.S 2, we know that 30% of the total area is occupied by Debt Services and it equals 15π. Thus, we can find out the total area but we don't know the area occupied by Rent and Utilities. Insufficient.

From both statements together, we know that the total area is 50π and the area pccupied by Rent and Utilities is 6π --> Sufficient

Since we do not know the total area of the circle, we cannot determine $$6\pi$$ what percentage of it is.

(2) The area of the section corresponding to Debt Service is 15π.
Not sufficient clearly.

1+2) Now we know that the total area is $$0.3Area=15\pi$$ so $$Area=50\pi$$. Since the Rent and Utilities part is $$6\pi$$ now we can determine what percentage is and also its angle:
$$\frac{6\pi}{50\pi}*360=43.2$$ degrees

Using the formula for area of a circle and logic you could solve this questions. The 2 statements give 2 equations in two variables. You can solve them to get the answer. I hope this helps!!
