Assuming the old price was $100, the new price is 40% less so $60.

We need to increase $60 by $40 again to bring it back to $100.

(40/60) * 100 = 66.6%

Answer (E)

40/(100-40)*100 = 6 6 *2 /3 %, Answer must be (E)
