One question: why is there no "s" at the end of drink in the sentence?

rungedez, that would be incorrect. Why do you think we need a "S" at the end of drinks?

Re: The pride, watching the baby elephant drink from the waterhole [#permalink]
Official Explanation:

We’ll go for LOGICAL because there is a double meaning we can avoid.
The baby elephant was drinking from the waterhole while the pride was watching it and
waiting for it to move away from its herd. The original sentence makes perfect sense,
while answers (B), (C), (D), and (E) use phrases such as which was and while, which make it
seem like the elephant was the one eagerly awaiting, which is not logical in the context of
the sentence.
