I choose (C)

S and V agreement
Subject is "The primary drama of Homer's famed Iliad", which is a singular noun, so verb must be "revolves" => B and E out
Revolve around/in
Revolve around is the correct phrasal verb => D out
Anger amongst ... and/The anger between ... and
"anger" should be preceded by "the" because it is well specified in the context.
besides, "between ... and ..." is correct when used to refer to 2 agents
=> A out

(B) "revolve" is plural, sva; "revolve in" improper; "warrior A and the King and the leader" unintended;
(D) "revolves in" improper;
(E) "revolve" plural sva; "A [person] vs his anger [emotion]" comparing between different things, unintended;

Remove B and E for using the wrong verb 'revolve' rather than the singular 'revolves. Remove D for using the wrong idiom 'revolves in'.Remove A for the using amongst for between two people, Achilles and Agamemnon. C is the answer.

revolves around Achilles and Agamemnon - since its 2 parties only, we need between.

SV does not agree

The right answer is option C.

Split#1: Subject-verb agreement.
The subject of the sentence is drama, which is singular. Hence a singular verb revolves rather than revolve is required. Options B and E can be eliminated for using the plural verb revolve.

Split#2: revolves in vs revolves around.
Revolves around is the correct idiom. Option D can also be eliminated because it uses revolves in erroneously.

Split#3: between vs among
We can look at this split in two ways. First of all, we can look at idiomatically as between X and Y, where X and Y must be parallel. Second is that between is used to refer to two things that are distinct. Among on the other hand is used when talking about things that are not distinct.

We know that the elements referenced are distinct. i.e. Achiles and Agamemnom, hence between is better. We can eliminate A based split#3.

The right answer is option C.

The following are the splits identified -

revolves v/s revolve - revolves is preferred as the subject 'primary drama' is singular.
amongst vs between - amongst is used when comparing three or more entities. between is used for two entities.
revolves around vs revolves in - revolves around is the correct idiom in this case.

Using revolves v/s revolve split, we can eliminate B and E options.

Using amongst vs between split, A can be eliminated.

Using revolves around vs revolves in, D can be eliminated.

Hence, in my opinion, Answer is C

The primary drama of Homer's famed Iliad revolves around anger amongst the renowned and wrathful warrior Achilles and Agamemnon, the King of Mycenae and the leader of Achaean army.

A. revolves around anger amongst the renowned and wrathful warrior Achilles and Agamemnon, the King of Mycenae and the leader of Achaean army
B. revolve in the anger between the renowned and wrathful warrior Achilles and the King of Mycenae and the leader of the Achaean army Agamemnon
C. revolves around the anger between Achilles, a renowned and wrathful warrior, and Agamemnon, king of Mycenae and the leader of the Achaean army
D. revolves in the anger between Achilles, a renowned and wrathful warrior, and Agamemnon, king of Mycenae and the leader of the Achaean army
E. revolve around Achilles, a renowned and wrathful warrior, and his anger toward Agamemnon, king of Mycenae and the leader of the Achaean army

OFFICIAL EXPLANATION:

There are two main problems with the original sentence.

(1) The phrase the anger amongst is not idiomatically correct and is inaccurate as the anger is between the two characters. The idiom between x and y should be used.

(2) The descriptions of the two men should be in parallel form within the idiom (e.g., between x, description of x, and y, description of y; or between {description of x} x and {description y} y).
For example: anger between Achilles, a renowned and wrathful warrior, and Agamemnon, king of Mycenae and the leader of the Achaean army

A. the phrase anger amongst...Achilles and the King of Mycenae is not idiomatically correct and should be anger between x and y; The descriptions of the two men should be in parallel form within the idiom

B. the subject (the primary drama, which is singular) does not agree with the verb (revolve, which is plural); the phrase the drama...revolve[s] in the anger is awkward

C. the correct idiom (between x and y) is used; the descriptions of the two men are in parallel form within the idiom

D. the phrase x revolves in y (i.e., drama...revolves in the anger) is not idiomatically correct and should be replaced by the phrase x revolved around y (i.e., drama...revolves around the anger)

E. the subject (the primary drama, which is singular) does not agree with the verb (revolve, which is plural; this phrase distorts the meaning of the original sentence, falsely giving the impression that the drama revolved around Achilles ... and his anger instead of giving the correct impression that the drama revolved around the anger between Achilles...and Agamemnon)
