(A) they do not any longer consider themselves to be -- CONSIDER TO BE - INCORRECT IDIOM USAGE

(B) they no longer regard themselves to be -- REGARD TO BE - INCORRECT IDIOM USAGE

(C) they no longer consider themselves -- CONSIDER X Y - CORRECT IDIOM USAGE

(D) they do not any longer regard themselves to be -- REGARD TO BE - INCORRECT IDIOM USAGE

(E) they no longer consider themselves as being -- CONSIDER AS - INCORRECT IDIOM USAGE

In this question, there are two different idioms usages:

Consider X Y - is the correct idiom - we have this type in A,C and E...So only option C reflects this idiom properly consider themselves mere extensions of their mothers.

Regard AS - is the correct idiom - We have this type in B and D....this is incorrectly used.
