Let the present ages of Aman, Bren, and Charlie be 5x, 8x and 7x respectively.

5x-8 + 8x-8 + 7x-8 = 76

x = 5

Present age of Aman = 5*5 = 25

Aman's age 10 years hence = 25+10 = 35

OA in three days

Assume the ages to be 5x, 7x and 8x

Sum of ages 8 years ago = 5x + 7x + 8x - 24 = 76
20x = 100
x = 5

Current age of Aman = 25
Age 10 years from now = 25 + 10 = 35

The approaches above look good to me. To avoid error, I'd also do two things up front:

1) Write down "5x + 10 = ___." This way, I'm less likely fall for the trap answer lurking in B.

2) Eliminate A and C. Only B, D, and E fit my predicted answer of 10 more than a multiple of 5. (If Aman's age is a multiple of 5 now, it can't be 7 or 17.)
