salaries earned by Adam and Bart in 1st year are A and B respectively

Common difference between yearly salaries of Adam and Bart are x and y respectively

\(\frac{2A+(p-1)x}{2B+(p-1)y}= \frac{4p+1}{2p+17}\)

Put p=13

\(\frac{2A+12x}{2B+12y}= \frac{53}{43}\)

\(\frac{A+6x}{B+6y}=\frac{ 53}{43}\)
