The sex of baby alligators and many other reptiles - such as crocodiles and snapping turtles - are determined by the temperature of the nest; above ninety degrees yields males, while lower temperatures yield females.

(A) are determined by the temperature of the nest; above
(B) is determined from the temperature of the nest; temperatures above
(C) is determined by the temperature of the nest; temperatures above
(D) are determined by the temperature of the nest; those above
(E) is determined by the temperature of the nest; rising above

Correct answer is C, but C has "temperatures... yields" in the second part of the sentence... isn't that a plural noun and a singular verb?

temperatures above ninety degrees yields males, while lower temperatures yield females.
Letter "s" needs to be removed from temperatures or from yields so that S-V aggrement is maintened. See after the comma, correct S_V aggrement is given so it Seems some typo error.
