Hi, I am trying to work on the SC section in MR Verbal guide- question 194. I feel that the answer provided in the guide is wrong. Hence want a second view.

Correct answer as per guide is (E).
Is the use of 'IS' in E just a typo. I don't think it fits correct. How should the correct answer look like?

You can easily eliminate choices A,B and C since the sharp contrast HAS and not have.
I believe the correct answer is E and IS is just a mistake from their side...

I think choice D is wrong since there is change in the meaning...
In the original sentence we are not told what sports is favored over what....

If The IS typo is sorted than E stands a good chance other wise its plain wrong. The issue with D is that it compares :Sales of Sports" with "Sports" which is an erroneous comparison

Request you not to write your queries/answers/opinions in question window. It prevents ppl from analysing the question. The whole purpose of GMAT Club forum goes wasted by doing so.

You have response windows to do all such things.

Can a mod put this in a spoiler tag? I was going to attempt the question and then my eyes glanced at the bottom where the answer is...now I'm saving this for a rainy day. :D
