The total of company C's assets in 1994 was 300% greater than the total in 1993, which in turn was 400% greater than the total in 1992, was N dollars. Which of the following represents the total of company C's assets in dollar in 1994?

A. 7N
B. 8N
C. 9N
D. 12N
E. 20N
I used N = 3 than in 1993, 4(3) = 12 and 1994, 3(12) = 36. The answer I got was D. 12N.
But the correct answer was E. can anyone show is that done?

The key here is to know "greater than"
1992:N
1993:N+4N
1994:N+4N+3*(5N) = 5N+15N = 20N
