What is being compared in this question? -- Volume of Lake Superior with the volume of Lake Baikal.

(A) is less than half of Lake Baikal

This choice says volume of Lake superior is <1/2 of Lake Baikal. So volume of one lake is compared with another lake itself.

(B) is less than half that of Lake Baikalreplace “that of” with “volume” – the volume of lake superior <1/2 volume (that of) of Lake Baiklal.

(C) is less than half as compared to Lake Baikal

Same as A.

(D) has less than half what Lake Baikal has

Volume of one lake IS less than volume of second lake. “HAS” is wrong. What does volume of lake superior HAS?

(E) has less than half as compared to what Lake Baikal has

Same as D.
