cost of 10000 mm =2000$
cost of 1 mm=2000/10000 =0.2$
cost of 40mm , this is the ink amount in single cartridge=40*0.2=8 $

D is the answer

The cost of the ink per milliliter is 2,000/10,000 = 2/10 = 0.2 dollars, so an ink cartridge of 40 milliliters costs 0.2 x 40 = 8 dollars.

Answer: D

Asked: What is the wholesale cost of the ink in a single cartridge? (1 dekaliter = \(10^4\) milliliters)

Cost of black ink / millilitre = $2000/10000 = $.2 /milliliter
Cost of ink in single cartridge of 40 millilitre = 40*.2 = $8
