Is OA D) ?
since it talks about "sculpted pieces" , "include" should be the correct word to use here
between C,D,E i feel "amalgamated in " is wrong.

A is the answer. Explanation: Choice (B) is wrong in using ‘is’ instead of ‘are’ for a plural noun pieces. Choice (C) is idiomatically wrong in using ‘is on exhibition’. The correct usage is being exhibited. Choice (D) wrongly uses amalgamated with. In this context the correct use is amalgamated in. Choice (E) wrongly uses a plural verb ‘have’ for singular noun work. Choice (A) is the best option.

There is certainly some problem with the OA. It should be A
The work of Matizan is singuar, hence we need includes and not include.

The work of Matizan that is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in rough wood and metal.

• is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that arc based on nature theories and are amalgamated in
Correct
• is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and is amalgamated in
The pieces are amalgamated in rough wood and metal. Hence we need a plural "are amalgamated" and not "is amalgamated"
• is on exhibition, include sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in
The work of Matizan is singuar, hence we need includes and not include.
• is being exhibited, include sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated with
The work of Matizan is singuar, hence we need includes and not include.
• have been exhibited, include sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in
The work of Matizan is singuar, hence we need includes and not include. Also have is incorrect here. It should be has

Can a moderator or OP please change the answer? This question and incorrect answer pair does more harm than good for everyone else, even if you read the comments later (at the very least, it's very annoying and could waste time for those that want to try and figure it out before reading the comments).

Is that comma that is in all of the choices grammatically correct? Makes no sense to me. Sometimes it feels like one step forward, two or three steps back with some of these SC questions...especially the unsourced/unverified ones.

Meaning of the sentence - the work of Matizan which is currently being exhibited consists of furniture that are based on nature theories and these furnitures are amalgamated in rough wood and metal.

Let's split the sentence for simplicity. Also make the subject "bold" and "underline" the verb. The subject and it's verb is associated by same number in parenthesis.

The work of Matizan (1)
that (2) is being exhibited (2),
includes (1) sculpted pieces of furniture
that (3) are based (3) on nature theories and
are amalgamated (3) in rough wood and metal.

If you notice, all the subjects and their corresponding verbs are rightly matched.
The subject "work of Matizan" is singular and needs a singular verb "includes". Eliminate C,D and E.
In B, parallelism of verbs is disturbed - "are based on nature theories" and "is amalgamated" for the
same plural subject "sculpted pieces of furniture".

Includes will be correct as work will have Singlular verb. Option c,d,e out. Between option a and b- "a" is correct as it maintains "and are"

Kudos !!! if it helped

Should there not have been a "that ... and that .." parallelism in A. Or am I missing a trick ?

The work is singular, so it should be "includes". Thus, option C, D and E are out.

"based on nature theories" and "amalgamated in" are referring to the pieces of the furnture. So, they should have an "are" before them. Hence, option B is also out.

The work of Matizan that is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in rough wood and metal.

• is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in
• is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and is amalgamated in
• is on exhibition, include sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in
• is being exhibited, include sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated with
• have been exhibited, include sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in

I think this question has a problem. The independent clause is not correctly defined and the sentence in its current state is a fragment. Please let me know whether my understanding is right.

The sentence is alright:

Main clause:
The work of Matizan that is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in rough wood and metal.

But there is a comma after exhibited. Is that allowed? Does'nt it separate the phrase 'The work of Matizan that is exhibited' from the remaining part of the sentence?

OK, I see your point. Since this is an essential modifier, the comma should not have been there. However for a non-essential modifier, the comma would be alright:

The work of Matizan, which is being exhibited, includes sculpted pieces of furniture that are based on nature theories and are amalgamated in rough wood and metal.[/quote]
