Alf per hr rate = 16/8 = 2 tonnes per hr
Bob per hr rate = 20/8 = 5/2

total 2+ 2.5 = 4.5
IMO B

Very easy question but I got tricked by thinking that the word day is 24 hours instead of 8 hours.

So I initially did 16/24 for 14 tonnes per 24 hours.
