Sum of total number of automobiles sold = 660

$$\frac{660+x}{22} = 35$$
$$x=110$$
Total additional automobiles needed to be sold = 110
Additional automobiles per sales associate = 110/22 = 5

From the stem-and-leaf plot, we have below number of automobiles sold by 22 sales associates.
12 15 17 18 18
22 23 23 24 25 25 25
32 34 34 34 38 39 39
50 52
61

First column in the stem-and-leaf plot is the stem and second column is the leaf. Stem forms the first digit of the number and leaf forms the second digit.
Adding all numbers above we get, 660 automobiles sold by 22 sales associates.
average = 660/22 = 30

Now it is asked that for how many additional automobiles sold by the same 22 associates the average will be 35. So let x be the additional automobiles,
$$\frac{660+x}{22}=35$$
$$x=110$$

Therefore, additional automobiles per sales associate = 110/22 = 5

The method followed by me is a lengthy one. Any shortcut method is appreciated.
