D) the amount of funding is unecessary wording... + doing this is not idiomatic, should use doing so.....

I am with B on this one it is parallel and you need so, ive come to the conclusion if you see a choice with so in it, look long and hard at it because it usually is right

A & E has parallelism issues.
C has redundancies.
D ‘amount’ is redundant.

Left with B.

Dear rohan2345,

I'm happy to respond.

My friend, please do NOT start a brand-new thread for a question that has already been posted on GMAT Club before. Please ALWAYS search for a question extensively before posting anything. Chances are very good that any questions you have already have been addressed in a pre-existent post, and if you have more questions, that pre-existent post is the best place to ask your questions. Only start a new thread if you are certain that the question has never been posted on GMAT Club before (virtually all official questions and all questions from major test prep are already here).

I merged your post into a pre-existent post on this same SC problem. If you have questions about this SC problem, you may find the comments in this thread helpful, or you can add your own questions here.

Does all this make sense?
Mike
