Hey Everyone,

Really quick question: does the timing of an on-campus interview matter? I'm basically trying to decide between two "super Saturday" events to schedule an MBA interview for. Is there any sort of tactical advantage to interview with the first/last group of folks in the round? I have tentatively scheduled my interview for the last super Saturday because I need to fly cross-country and ticket prices are a bit steep.

Hey there,

Honestly, nope. They do a really good job keeping things objective so if the flights are expensive, there is really no benefit taking a hit to the wallet for it.

Good luck!

Absolutely yes!

Research has shown that interviews that are conducted earlier in the day leave the interviewee with a better chance of acceptance.

Just Google "interview timing" and you'll find boatloads of research that shows it probably best to schedule an interview earlier in the day.

Thank you so much! Luckily my interview is one of the first of the day, so I'm glad I made the right call.
