I believe the tested topic is idiom usage in this sentence. To "x" is to "y".

"To read.. is to feel" are parallel

The answer should be C

Yup...only A and C come close .However,A uses past perfect unnecessarliy so
C shoud win

I agree with the idiom "To X is to Y".
However, I am unsure about "read of", is it a correct idiom?

Although, "read of" sounds awkward to me.
A basic rule in GMAT Grammar indicates that an infinitive can be parallel only with another infinitive.

I think I deserve kudos 8-)
