Rate of Faster person = F
Rate of Slower person = S

Combined Rate = F+S
F+S = 10S
F=9S
F/S = 9

Answer is C. 9 : 1

Fast+Slow = 10.Slow

Divide by 'Slow' all over

\frac{Fast}{Slow}+ 1 = 10

\frac{Fast}{Slow} = 9/1

Hence Ratio is 9:1

As per the question =>

A+B=10A
(A is slower than B)

Hence B=9A
B/A=> 9/1

Hence ratio=9:1

SMASH THAT C.

Let's say slower person can do 1 unit work daily .
This means together they can do 10 times = 10*1 = 10 units daily

This means faster person is doing =10-1= 9 units daily

So their work ratio = 9:1

Faster = $$x$$, Slower = $$y$$

$$x+y = 10y$$

$$x = 9y$$

$$\frac{x}{y} = \frac{9}{1}$$. Ans - C.

"Together two people can work 10 times faster than the slower person can work alone"

How do we know whether the two people the question is talking about is "Fast person + Slow person". The word play is confusing me. Can anyone explain?
