This is an assumption question so the conclusion has to be strengthened. What the argument is saying is that change appliance make them efficient then the energy will be saved..

If i prethink i will have answers like- people will use the new items , they have money to replace these

all answers relating to other things are irrelevant.

crux has to be these need to be used.

A says that these are using but the usage behavior is not changing.

hmmm- "BA- BAAM" our answer- same usage behavior and the use of these.

the argument for the stimulus is that the consumption percentage will reduce from 20% to 10% when twice as efficient home appliances are used.

B) irrelevant as it does not talk about energy consumption
C) irrelevant even though it talks about manufacturing the appliances within the argument but it fails to support the reduction in energy consumption
D) irrelevant cost of energy has nothing to do with energy consumption %
E) irrelevant does not support conclusion, argument talks about appliances that are twice as efficient, this one talks about existing home appliances

A) is correct because, if usage remains the same and home appliances become twice as efficient then consumption reduces by half

This is from my understand.
